Partnering with another electrical contractor, REMEC joined forces in an alliance to procure, construct, and manage electrical work packages for a Mining Client in the Goldfields. The collaboration saw broader project delivery capability, providing the client with a single, coordinated resource for the mining construction and commissioning scope of the project.
The resourcing for the works spanned the full spectrum of roles required to deliver a project of this scale, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors, Electricians, QA/QC Technicians, Boilermakers, Apprentices and Trade Assistants.
Key responsibilities delivered on site included:
- Installation of high voltage and low voltage cable
- Cable terminations
- Installation of MCC (Motor Control Centre) components and fabric alterations
- Installation of plant lighting and lightning protection systems
- QA/QC and commissioning
- Completion of ITRs (Inspection & Test Records) and record keeping
